What you'll do

Agentic Systems Designer Full-time · Copenhagen, Lisbon, or remote within the EU Applicants must currently reside in the EU. NORDFY works with architecture, AEC and creative companies to build AI capability their teams can own. We are part of Verka Collective, a group of independent European design practices. We’re hiring someone to own the architecture and delivery of internal agents, integrations and systems across those practices. “Designer” here means designing how software systems work and building them through to production. You’ll make decisions about architecture, reliability and where human judgment belongs, then deliver systems another team can operate. What you’ll work on: • Build internal systems that help firms run their operations with AI. • Connect tools, data and models through integrations and agentic workflows. • Make systems reliable when third-party APIs are inconsistent, documentation is thin or problems only appear in production. • Design retries, state management and delivery guarantees appropriate to the work. • Decide where people stay involved and how systems should fail safely. • Document the architecture, put backup and recovery arrangements in place, and hand over the work so it remains operable without you. What you need to bring: • Experience building and operating consequential production systems. • A working understanding of idempotency, retries, state and delivery guarantees, including what exactly-once execution actually requires. • Experience with MCP servers, agent orchestration or long-running autonomous workflows. You do not need experience with all three. • Regular use of agentic coding tools, with a clear understanding of their capabilities and limits. • The ability to explain architecture decisions and write software other people can maintain. • Confidence taking responsibility for a substantial area of work. Useful additional experience • Working with architecture, AEC or other design-led organisations. • Delivering software to professional-services firms. • Working across languages and markets in the Nordics or DACH region. Working at NORDFY: You’ll join a small senior team with direct access to the collective’s leadership. You’ll work with frontier AI tools, have time to develop your practice, and take part in gatherings with teams across the collective, including AI Coordinators and Champions. Salary is agreed individually, based on the role, experience and local market. Employment is arranged locally, directly or through an Employer of Record. Contract terms, benefits and pension arrangements follow the rules of your country of residence. How to apply: Tell us about the least reliable system you have ever made reliable, and how you did it. Send your application to info@nordfy.dk with “Agentic Systems Designer” in the subject line. Include a GitHub profile, a write-up or other evidence that shows how you approach these problems. We need to see evidence of delivered work. A general cover letter alone won’t give us enough to assess your application.
