What you'll do

About the Company EDAG is a global engineering company with roots in the automotive industry, offering end-to-end development—from concept to prototype. For over 56 years, it has supported clients in areas like software, mobility solutions, sustainability, design, and manufacturing. EDAG Engineering Scandinavia AB, based in Gothenburg, serves as the group’s Scandinavian branch and a key partner in western Sweden. It combines strong local expertise with global resources to deliver comprehensive engineering solutions. About the Role We are looking for an ADAS Verification & Validation Engineer to join an exciting automotive assignment in Gothenburg. In this role, you will work hands-on with the verification and validation of advanced driver assistance functions, with a strong focus on complete-vehicle testing and real-world driving scenarios. What you'll do

  • Plan, prepare and execute tests in complete vehicles, on proving grounds and public roads.
  • Verify and validate ADAS and active safety functions in customer-relevant driving scenarios.
  • Evaluate functional behaviour, performance, robustness, usability and overall driving experience.
  • Define test scenarios, acceptance criteria and structured test methods.
  • Analyse vehicle logs and test results to support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
  • Document deviations and provide clear technical feedback to development teams.
  • Use HIL, SIL, simulation or rig environments to complement physical vehicle testing.
  • Collaborate closely with software developers, function owners, system engineers, test teams and other stakeholders.

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Automation & Control, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience with complete-vehicle testing, preferably within ADAS, active safety or automated driving.
  • Good understanding of automotive verification and validation methodologies.
  • Experience with CAN communication, diagnostics and vehicle data logging.
  • Experience with tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape, INCA, DLT, or similar.
  • Ability to analyse logs and troubleshoot vehicle/function behaviour.
  • Basic scripting or test automation skills, preferably Python.
  • Experience with HIL, SIL, simulation, rigs or CI/CD-based verification is an advantage.
  • A valid Swedish B driving licence and confidence performing structured testing in real vehicles.
  • Proving-ground, safety-driver or customer-oriented fleet-testing experience is considered an advantage.

Who you are You are a hands-on and structured engineer who enjoys being close to the vehicle and understanding how advanced functions perform in real driving conditions. You combine strong technical curiosity with a customer-focused mindset and can translate observations from the vehicle into actionable improvements. Note : This is a consultant role and we are looking for people available in Sweden.
