What you'll do
Join OSM Thome as a 3rd Officer on chemical tankers trading worldwide. You will be part of a professional deck team, supporting safe navigation, cargo operations, and overall vessel safety. Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Officer and 2nd Officer in navigation and bridge watchkeeping
- Participate in cargo and ballast operations as instructed
- Carry out routine deck inspections and maintenance duties
- Maintain safety equipment and take part in drills and emergency preparedness
- Prepare and update logs, checklists, and other required documentation
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety rules, and regulations
Requirements:
- Valid 3rd Officer (OOW Deck) license, STCW compliant
- Experience on chemical tankers preferred
- Valid tanker endorsements and relevant STCW safety courses
- Good English communication skills
- Medically fit for sea service
- Strong safety mindset and willingness to work in a multinational crew
