What you'll do
Join OSM Thome as 3rd Engineer (3/E) on Oil/Chemical Tankers trading worldwide. You will work with an experienced engine team, keeping machinery in safe and efficient running condition on an international trading route.
- Key responsibilities:
- Carry out watchkeeping duties in the engine room as per company and vessel procedures
- Assist in operation and maintenance of main engine, auxiliaries, pumps, purifiers and other engine room equipment
- Perform planned maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting under guidance of senior engineers
- Keep engine room spaces clean, safe and well-organized
- Follow all safety, environmental and pollution-prevention procedures, especially for oil/chemical cargo operations
- Requirements:
- Valid 3rd Engineer CoC (III/1 or higher), meeting STCW requirements
- Tanker experience, preferably on Oil/Chemical Tankers
- Valid STCW basic and advanced tanker/endoresments as required
- Good English communication skills
- Medically fit for sea service with valid medical certificate
