What you'll do
Join OSM Thome as 2nd Engineer on our bulk carrier fleet trading worldwide. You will work closely with the Chief Engineer and engine team to keep all machinery running safely and efficiently.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist Chief Engineer in daily engine room operations and maintenance
- Monitor and maintain main engine, auxiliaries and ship’s machinery
- Carry out planned maintenance and repair work as instructed
- Keep engine room logs, records and reports updated and accurate
- Ensure safe working practices and compliance with company and statutory rules
- Support bunkering operations and fuel/lubricant management
- Requirements:
- Valid 2nd Engineer (Unlimited) CoC
- Experience as 2/E on bulk carriers preferred
- All mandatory STCW certificates and valid medical fitness
- Good English communication skills
- Strong safety awareness and readiness for worldwide trading
